Proff. Haley Fowler only talks about Wet Bulb Temperatures in Pakistan and the Global South. But the problem is that they are already occuring in the UK!
Add to that the misinformation doing the rounds on Facebook. 35°C as a a oimit for human survival under wet bulb conditions is out of date.

“Most studies projecting human survivability limits to extreme heat with climate change use a 35 °C wet-bulb temperature (Tw) threshold without integrating variations in human physiology. This study applies physiological and biophysical principles for young and older adults, in sun or shade, to improve current estimates of survivability and introduce liveability (maximum safe, sustained activity) under current and future climates. Our physiology-based survival limits show a vast underestimation of risks by the 35 °C Tw model in hot-dry conditions. Updated survivability limits correspond to Tw~25.8–34.1 °C (young) and ~21.9–33.7 °C (old)—0.9–13.1 °C lower than Tw = 35 °C. For older female adults, estimates are ~7.2–13.1 °C lower than 35 °C in dry conditions. Liveability declines with sun exposure and humidity, yet most dramatically with age (2.5–3.0 METs lower for older adults). Reductions in safe activity for younger and older adults between the present and future indicate a stronger impact from aging than warming.”

The Great Finnish Sauna Conspiracy That Isn’t.
“The great Sauna Conspiracy
Okay this is very serious stuff! As the climate warms the temperature goes up globally and it is really disastrous for the unprepared. This is why we have Sauna.
Even heat-adapted people cannot carry out normal outdoor activities past a wet-bulb temperature of 32 °C (90 °F), equivalent to a heat index of 55 °C (130 °F). The theoretical limit to human survival for more than a few hours in the shade, even with unlimited water, is 35 °C (95 °F) – theoretically equivalent to a heat index of 70 °C (160 °F), though the heat index does not go that high.
This is however misinformation. The Finnish Sauna “combat” exercises test this at up to 110 °C. The world championship contest was actually a secret science experiment where the maximum temperature with extreme humidity was prolonged up to 15 minutes, resulting in the death of a non-Finnish person. Typical sauna is 80-90 °C with extremely high humidity as it is customary to throw more water into the sauna stove in order to increase the humidity and wet bulb temperature.
And it doesn’t end here! It is customary to drink alcohol, a lot of it. Alcohol dries up the body even more in order to improve the effect of the exercise.
Global warming has been detected already in the industrial era in the 1800’s. And ever since then it has been customary for Finnish women to give birth in Sauna. There is indication that this could have occurred much earlier in the history in order to breed the most adaptable variant of the human species against changes of extreme temperatures.
Ever wondered how every Finnish person has access to Sauna but only the rich and wealthy have Sauna outside Finland!!??
The global warming is the ultimate plot to control the population rapidly and then drastically lower the temperature to bring a new ice age. And yes the Finns have trained for this as well. During winter they can survive naked in the snow. And a part of their training regimens is usually to go to the icy frozen water in the dead of winter AFTER exiting the 90 °C sauna and they easily survive that. Even worse the project has gone so far that they even ENJOY IT!
Everyone who is denying global warming is in the plot. You have only two options for survival. One you can try to stop the global warming… OR you can try to get a sauna and prepare for the days when wet-bulb temperature hits 35 °C.
If you want to copy the Finnish sauna combat exercise you need a sauna that can go up to 80 °C and you should have from 0.5 liters to 2 liters of cold beer in order to emulate dehydration. There is so much money spent on misinformation that goes against global warming that this might be your ONLY option for survival.
And this might be how we can avert global warming. If enough people get a sauna, the plan for world domination won’t work anymore. This could end up saving even the ones without Sauna as the industries and governments are given instructions to stop the actions that warm climate.
Open your eyes. The country doesn’t exist. The people inside the supposed ‘Finland’ spend time in heat chambers that go way over what wikipedia considers survivable. And I haven’t even mentioned the “Vihta” yet.
Vihta is a tool which they use to whip themselves in order to improve their pain tolerance while practicing in the heat chamber. They also expose themselves to temperature that is supposed to cause hypothermia.

You cannot acclimatise to wetbulb temperatures if you are Norwegian, Finnish or Swedish. Even if you think sitting in a sanuna naked is how to do it.
Just because Billionaire have saunas it does not mean they are in training to survive dangerous wet bulb temperatures.

I really do get where Dr Guy McPreason is coming from, and I also get it when Michael Diwd says you can’t just tell people they are going to die.
So, how do we communicate our own demise in the 6th mass extinction?
Firstly, I like the manner in which Michael Dowd addresses Guy McPheasrsons’ misplaced accusation of defamation.
But outside of the land of the polite, compassionate, and educated response to the 6th mass extinction, there is much. To be desired. Derision, denial & accusations of insanity are among the most extreme anti climate change trolling online, and it IS trolling just to be clear. While there are probably a multitude of reasons for this, primarily these come to the forefront:

Too many links are really off-putting.

Abuser love: Trolls are kind towards some of the Admins while they are onside with the Trolls ethos. This divides the Admins. Interestingly, sympathetic members might private message a new member, surprised and apologetic about other members. But clearly a quick search quickly reveals sites dominated by a set group think. Group think is dangerous, expected outdoorsy types on a warming planet.
Hyperthermia or heat exhaustion is a killer. Failure to understand dangerous wet bulb temperatures on a warming planet have been proved to be lethal, for the outdoorsy types.
Doomers & Acivists or Doomers are Activists or Doomers are Innactivists
This conflict is even present in some climate activist groups. There is a conflict between doomers and some climate activists, especially those who follow Proff Michael E Mann, who has ceased to research climate science & now concentrates on ensuring the climate message is optimistic hopium. While at the same time claiming to talk to doomers while blocking them on X (Twitter) and claiming that they have given up & are doing nothing. Based on no empirical research or peer reviewed papers, he makes these comments. Perhaps Professor Michael E Mann could inform us as to how he has helped reduce fossil Fuels emissions through his activism? None at all, fossil fuel emissions are increasing.
This is not a conflict started by Doomers. But as Michael Dowd says “you can’t just tell people they are going to die.” Little wonder that we are vilified, Let’s just not turn it on each other more than we already have.

I have watched a number of Preppers YouTuber channels for some years and note that they are developing their own homegrown weather forecasting, ignoring severe heat events, and “poopooing” the accepted science of meteorology & empirical data. They believe that the above temperature of 20°C is too low, though fail to provide any indication as to why.
The problem lies in data. The failure to grasp the data, understanding mean temperature, and the fact that aggregated data produces a monthly mean which is lower than 20°C. Average temperature for the UK for June, July, August & September 1961-2020 is between 14-18°C so therefore 20°C is the anomaly & marker for a heatwave. The suggestion that ti’s is too cool fails to take humidity into account.
The climate of the UK has always been characterised as unsettled and predominantly rainy. The weather is the Englishmans favourite topic for discussion- Cold, wet & windy. Therefore this would indicate there is is a high level of airborne moisture. While the weather is cool the airborne moisture is hardly noticeable. Add some additional heat to the mean and quickly we enter the realm of the unbearable and dangerous.
The Dangers of Dismissing the Warnings
I think that Preppers would prefer a heatwave to be classed as 30°C or over. But failure to understand humidity & the increased carrying capacity of moisture in the atmosphere brought on by warmer air. It’s either a failure to understand or flat out denial of science or both.
Setting the bar higher is a mistake. It would not take into account situations like south facing gardens, other natural and man-made environments, which become heat traps. Temperatures in heat traps can be 5-7° higher than the forecast & actual air temperature. Couple higher temperatures with humidity & sun traps can become “thermal kill zones”
